Thinking BIM, a collaborative philosophy which needs to be fostered by architects in order to refocus architecture projects on creativity & innovation

Building Information Modeling, Building Information Management: The term BIM encompasses a set of tools and methods that no one seems to know exactly how to define. In turn, the BIM scares, attracts, annoys or inspires. Our experiences have led us from architecture agencies to structural engineering design offices, and we have worked in the UK, France, and on international projects. In this article published in 2018 in a bulletin devoted to thoughs on the BIM, we wanted to demonstrate that the digital revolution brought by the BIM should be an opportunity to positively redistribute the cards in the world of architecture and construction engineering in France, by refocusing architecture projects on creativity and innovation.
